Legal Roles
Prior to joining McIntyre Szabo PC as an associate, Gurjot (she/her) articled with the firm, where she gained experience in professional regulation and health law. During her articles, she developed her skills in advocacy, legal research, and writing while working closely with the team on a range of matters.
Practice Areas
Gurjot represents and advises clients in the health care sector, including healthcare institutions, regulated health practitioners and other regulated professionals. She is building a broad-based health litigation practice at McIntyre Szabo PC including professional regulation, mental health hearings and appeals, physician privileging, human rights applications and inquests.
Courts & Tribunals
Gurjot has appeared before the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, as well as the Ontario Review Board.
Healthcare Industry
Gurjot comes from a family of healthcare professionals and began her career in healthcare before pursuing law. She completed her nursing degree and gained clinical experience in a variety of healthcare settings, in addition to supporting community health initiatives with Toronto Public Health.
Outside the Law
In her spare time, Gurjot enjoys Sunday night soccer, true crime documentaries, and spending time with family and friends.
